Reviews
Below is the review guide for TGC. Every game will be judged according to the same criteria. Obviously, some games will emphasize different aspects, so minor adjustments may be made when necessary. For example, if there is a great multiplayer FPS game, it would be unfair to hold it to the same standards of story and character as we would an RPG. We have all played a 100/100 FPS and we will make sure a fair score is achievable regardless of genre. However, when these adjustments are made, it will have to be an exceptional circumstance and an acknowledgement of that will be made in the review.
For our verified community reviews, there will be a form provided for you to get in touch with us (you can find the button at the bottom of this page or the link in the Review sub-menu). We will ask for a picture or screenshot of your time played, and your submission will be reviewed by TGC before it is posted. We are not pushing any agenda by doing this but want to provide the fairest feedback possible for the developers of these games. In the end, we all just want better games. You will be expected to follow these same scoring guidelines and any score below a 6 must provide some feedback for the devs or fair warning for players. And since we are fighting review bombing, we’ll monitor boosting as well. Reviews that are 100/100 with no feedback will also likely be returned with a request for more. For most reviews, we are not requiring extensive feedback, although you’re free to give as much as you’d like. Our goal is to have the fairest community reviews on the internet, because we believe that will provide the best outcomes for future games.
